Join us on Thursday, January 26 from 9 – 11 am for the announcement of the ATL Challenge competition finalists and for an opportunity to offer feedback that could help shape these proposals to preserve affordable rental housing. To attend, please register no later than 3 pm on January 20, 2017. The event will be held at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta (https://goo.gl/maps/2Fv7BPza3zM2). For security purposes, you must register before the deadline in order to attend.
This event will feature:
- A keynote presentation by Professor Dan Immergluck of the Georgia Tech School of City and Regional Planning on his research and the region’s preservation needs.
- A presentation by Elora Raymond of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta on her recent research on: Corporate Landlords, Institutional Investors, and Displacement: Eviction Rates in Single-Family Rentals
- Presentations by the ATL Challenge finalists, and an opportunity to offer interact and offer feedback to both the finalists and organizers This session will be an opportunity to influence these proposals to ensure that they will have a maximum impact on meeting the Atlanta region’s preservation needs.
- A brief overview of all submitted proposals, with a networking session aimed to facilitate partnership development and further implementation efforts.
Please note that parking is not available at the Federal Reserve building, and attendees will need to utilize available parking in the surrounding neighborhood or public transit.
