The organizers of the ATL Challenge and the Atlanta Regional Housing Forum of 2017 invite you to join us on Wednesday, June 7 from 9:30 – 11:45 am for the announcement of the ATL Challenge competition winner. The event will be held at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, Atlanta, GA (http://bit.ly/2rodfxw) as part of the first quarterly Atlanta Regional Housing Forum of 2017. To attend, please complete the event online registration form. Free parking is located across the street from the Church.
This event will feature:
- Presentations by the ATL Challenge competition finalists; Stryant Investment, LLC, Tapestry Development Group and TriStar, LLC, and the announcement of the ATL Challenge competition winner. Sponsored by the JP Morgan Chase Foundation and organized by the Georgia Department of Community Affairs, Georgia ACT, and Enterprise Community Partners, the competition will award $70,000 in resources to support the implementation of the winning concept.
- A demonstration of an online mapping tool that was developed by Enterprise Community Partners, Neighborhood Nexus, and the Atlanta Regional Commission in order to highlight subsidized properties in Metro Atlanta and their subsidy expiration dates. This tool aims at increasing awareness of expiring housing subsidies and aiding in prioritization of properties for preservation.
- A brief presentation on the proposed Living Transit Fund, which aims at supporting equitable transit oriented development (eTOD) in Atlanta. The TransFormation Alliance recommends that MARTA and the city of Atlanta allocate a percentage of sales tax funding for eTOD through the creation of a new Living Transit Fund.
